We are seeking a full-time Automotive OEM Sales and Marketing Intern in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting department Directors, Sales Managers, and their customers in the daily activities and administration required to market, sell, and support both our OEM and Aftermarket products. The position will encompass daily interaction with various departments internally to support sales and marketing initiatives and additional responsibilities include presentation preparation, market analysis, key customer intelligence as well as other duties and special projects as assigned.
Essential Functions
Assist in developing well-organized/informative product presentations, seminars and webinars in this highly motivated internship
Collect, distribute, organize, update, and manage our presentation material and videos
Support Sales Managers/Directors with development/execution of marketing activities
Work with Garmin's internal Marketing Communications department to create, review and execute updates to Automotive OEM website
Become knowledgeable on Garmin products and learn competitive landscape of the different markets Garmin serves
Assist Directors/Sales Managers in analyzing sales data that can be utilized in projecting future forecasts.
Basic Qualifications
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Management
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office products and additional presentation software or apps used for content creation
Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision, ability to prioritize/multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment, and have superior organizational/analytical skills with keen attention to detail/quality
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
1 year of sales experience
Some familiarity with Garmin products
General understanding of artificial intelligence tools for marketing and presentations
Familiarity with the automotive market
Ability to work onsite in an Olathe, KS facility 10 hours per week during the spring semester
