BRIDGE PRACTICE

Michael Baker International has addressed bridge design, construction and preservation challenges with innovative and sustainable solutions. DESCRIPTION

You'll be a part of our talented Bridge Engineering team learning project management, and Design for Transportation projects.

Duties Include:


  • Involved with preparation of basic design calculations, plans, and reports.
  • Support the preparation of design plans, perform basic CAD edits
  • Prepare design calculations under direction
  • Must be able to perform occasional field work involving handling ladders, boats, and other access equipment, along with lifting moderately heavy items and climbing up and down steep embankments with natural and human-made obstacles like snakes, poison ivy, guardrail, fences, rocky surfaces, etc.
  • Support report preparation, written and graphic reports
  • Ability to interact appropriately with regulatory personnel and clients for routine tasks
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and technical report writing
  • Highly motivated and capable of working effectively in a team environment

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing a Bachelor degree or Masters Degree
  • Minimum of two years completed coursework
  • Minimum GPA 3.0

COMPENSATION

The hourly rate for this position is $15.00- $30.00 hour.
