***This is a 3rd shift position***
Job Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming/outgoing shipments and prepares items for Stocking/Picking by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Must operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
• Operates PB crimp tools, including diagnosis, repair and processing.
• Operates the stretch wrap banders.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Supports the receiving of goods with a high quality and attention to detail to comply with customers stocking needs/request.
• Responsible for receiving all materials designated for parts fulfillment department.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Supports the shipment of goods produced and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
• Responsible for arranging trucks for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
• Part Receiving/Stocking cross work.
• Part picking/shipping cross work
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of three years' experience in a warehouse/fulfillment environment.
• Must have basic computer user knowledge.
• Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of WMS and RF guns.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Preferred one year ERP experience.
• Attention to detail, self-starter.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of forklift & reach truck experience
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug screen
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
