Your new company
My client is a prominent project management and construction firm based in New York City, known for delivering a diverse range of building projects on time, within budget, and with exceptional safety, quality, and innovation standards. With over 110 years of experience, they have been shaping the iconic skyline of New York City. Due to the expansion of their operations, there is a need for an Estimator within their New York office. This role will focus on ground-up construction and interior projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, government, financial services, and cultural institutions. This individual will play a key part in shaping the department as they continue to grow their New York office.
Your new role
You will be responsible for reviewing project documents, developing subcontractor scopes of work for multiple projects at any one time, take-offs, coordinating with subcontractors, developing RFIs, identifying scope gaps, attending industry networking events, subcontractor networking events, and subcontractor meetings to maintain relationships. You will present in bid review meetings, review proposals, and coordinate with subcontractors.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator with 7-10 years of experience, bidding on all trades. You will also have experience bidding on large-scale projects valued at $100M+ within the commercial, government, or federal sectors.
