Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Retro-Commissioning Specialist to join our client's team and ensure compliance with Local Law 87 for buildings in New York City.
Your new role:
As a Retro-Commissioning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing building performance and ensuring compliance with NYC's Local Law 87. This law mandates periodic energy audits and retro-commissioning measures for buildings over 50,000 square feet. Your expertise will help improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance occupant comfort.
What you'll do:
- Conduct comprehensive energy audits and retro-commissioning studies for commercial and residential buildings.
- Identify and implement energy-saving measures and operational improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to demonstrate compliance with Local Law 87.
- Collaborate with building owners, property managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute retro-commissioning plans.
- Monitor and verify the performance of implemented measures to ensure sustained energy savings.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in mechanical engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of NYC Local Law 87 and other relevant energy codes and standards.
