POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team as an EHS intern. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of environmental, health, and safety management within our organization. The idea candidate is passionate about promoting a safe and healthy work environment, detail-oriented, and possesses strong problem-solving skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist EHS team with projects aimed at compliance assurance, incident reduction, and program consistency between sites
Policy and training program development: the intern will assist with development of a safety policy and training program based on an OSHA regulation. They will work with the EHS Manager as part of the development process.
Evaluating hazards, exposures, and general impacts associated with operation of process equipment, facilities and projects
Participating in incident investigations, field audits, and other incident causation and prevention activities
Participating in emergency planning and response activities
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be pursing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality work
Collaboration and teamwork
