This position is part of a new initiative incubated within Stanford Data Science, part of the Vice Provost for Research / Dean of Research. Stanford Data Science (SDS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing unit within the VP/Dean of Research. For more than five years, SDS has sought to advance data science and its application to all fields of study. POSITION SUMMARY:
The SDS Program Manager (PM) will focus on the application and review process for the new Stanford GPU cluster, Marlowe as well as assist in coordination and administration for the various programs under Stanford Data Science. Programs in SDS include research centers and early career trainee programs and this position will work closely with key stakeholders across a wide variety of roles including faculty, researchers, staff, and students. The PM will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Marlowe allocation process, ensuring compliance with academic and technical standards, and supporting collaboration between departments and external partners.
Primary Responsibilities: Program management involves overseeing the allocation process for Marlowe GPU resources, ensuring equity and efficiency, and assisting with other Stanford Data Science (SDS) programs. Communication and stakeholder management include acting as the main contact for the Stanford user community, resolving allocation issues, and promoting awareness during meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Data collection and reporting focus on monitoring key metrics to ensure compliance with guidelines and providing insights for process optimization. Technology and process improvement include evaluating new technologies for resource allocation, maintaining infrastructure, and improving application systems.
This is a 100% FTE benefits-eligible position with three-year fixed term, which may be renewed based on programmatic need and funding availability.

The expected pay range for this position is $99,015 - 126,383 per annum.
