Our client in the food manufacturing in the Greater Seattle Area. This is a fully ONSITE role, and will provide full relocation package. They are dedicated to delivering quality products through innovative processes. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Plant Accountant to join their team and contribute to their financial operations at plant facility.
Job Overview:
The Plant Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, overseeing cost accounting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data specific to our plant operations. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for plant operations.
-Track and report on production costs, inventory valuations, and cost variances. Conduct cost analysis and support budgeting processes.
-Maintain accurate general ledger accounts related to plant operations. Reconcile accounts and manage month-end close processes.
-Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
-Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
-Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and cost management.
-Work closely with plant management and other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
