We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Closing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine data entry and validation tasks, initiating third-party orders, and reviewing and validating loan documents. The Loan Closing Coordinator will also manage communications, monitor work queues, and ensure tasks are completed in alignment with company values. This role is critical in supporting our mortgage and escrow processes by balancing closing statements and disclosures to maintain compliance and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine data entry and validation tasks to support loan processing.
Initiate third-party orders such as title, appraisal, hazard, flood certifications, and credit reports.
Review and validate all loan documents for accuracy and completeness.
Handle routine calls, emails, and chat responses with customers and third parties.
Monitor work queues and intervene as needed to keep processes running smoothly.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
Demonstrate behaviors that align with the organization's culture and values.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the mortgage or escrow industry, with a focus on closing processes.
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Prior experience in financial services or the mortgage industry is preferred.
General understanding of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Strong experience in drawing loan documents and balancing closing statements and disclosures.
Closing experience in mortgage is highly preferred, but escrow experience with a background in balancing closing statements/disclosures is also acceptable.
Familiarity with Encompass software is a plus.
