Job Responsibilities
The program coordinator will teach courses, design, and develop curriculum, evaluate adjunct personnel and student performance, and advise students related to courses in the Network Systems Management (NSM) Department and Business Technology division. The primary responsibilities are planning and scheduling classes, recruiting, and assigning adjunct and full-time faculty for all department courses. The position includes programmatic development, involvement in grant application and implementation, marketing/advertising of programs, and community engagement/outreach. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, participation in planning and revising curriculum, and maintenance of office hours. Must be able to troubleshoot hardware and software. This position will also maintain office hours, teach at varying locations and sites, and have the ability to use varying teaching methods to include online teaching and accomplish course objectives.
This position requires a master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related computer field or a bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related computer field; or a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field AND an associate degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related computer field. Two (2) years of progressively responsible related work/teaching experience is also required. Technical certification is required for bachelor's degree candidates and preferred for candidates with a master's degree. Certifications considered include but are not limited to, Security+, Network+, A+, Red Hat, Cisco CCNA, and AWS.
Preferred QualificationsIdeal candidate will have five (5) years of industry-related experience in information technology. Experience teaching in a community college or other post-secondary educational environment is a plus. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
