Job Description



EAG Laboratories, part of the Eurofins network, is a global leader in analytical chemistry, advanced microscopy, surface analysis and analytical testing services of various types of materials from synthetic biomaterials to nanotechnology. Our laboratoriesareat the forefront of this revolution, providing the scientific expertise and analytical techniques to support companies at every phase of the product lifecycle, from R&D to manufacturing.


Our laboratory in Maryland Heights, Missouri provides organic chemistry testing specializing in investigative analytical chemistry. Examples of this includes evaluating the label claims of consumer products, reverse engineering pharmaceuticals/nutritional supplements, contaminant identification, determining sources of off odors/flavors/colors, extractables and leachables of consumer electronics, testing medical devices and much, much more.


We have an opening for a Sample Control Technician. The skills and responsibilities include:


  • Receiving and cataloging customer-supplied samples for analysis.

  • Storing samples prior to/post-analysis until scheduled disposal per customer requirements and maintain inventory.

  • Generating chain of custody forms when required for regulated projects.

  • Return samples to customers post-analysis by request.

  • Package and direct shipping analysis samples for out-source services.

  • Maintaining chemical inventory.

  • Assist with ordering lab supplies and office supplies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned or required.




Qualifications



  • Experience with database entry.

  • Work effectively in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of Laboratory Health & Safety.

  • Excellent organization skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:



  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment.

  • Ability to use a telephone, access file cabinets, receive and ship customer products

  • Ability to sit for periods of time

  • Ability to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting

  • Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)

  • Ability to lift to 10 lbs.
