Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Graduate Assistant, International Enrollment Services - Boca Raton, FL.



Summary of Responsibilities:




  • Assist with general office duties, including email correspondence, scanning, printing, processing documents, and running errands on campus.




  • Assist with processing international student applications received through FAU's recruitment provider, Study Group (SG).




  • Gather, enter, or extract data and/or documents from various databases, spreadsheets, and information systems to coordinate the admission and onboarding of SG students.




  • Create or update existing documents and materials for the department.




  • Provide general guidance to students in person, by phone, or via email on FAU requirements and processes.




  • Support other international recruitment and enrollment initiatives within the scope of the Center for Global Engagement.




  • Assist with the onboarding of SG admitted students, including but not limited to coordinating orientation activities, collecting official transcripts, and assisting with immunizations, insurance, student account, OWL card, etc.




  • Assist with International Student organizations, programming, and events.




  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:FAU degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Salary:$16.00 per hour.
College or Department:OPS - CGE: International Enrollment Services
Location:Boca Raton
Work Days and Hours:Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Part time up to 20 hours per week.

Special Instructions to Applicant: This is a part time position.


Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds. Temporary positions are usually not eligible for benefits and retirement; however, they may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on the average hours worked per week. They provide full-time or part-time employment in an exempt or non-exempt employment situation based on job duties and salary in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice.
