In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop teams of managers and individual contributors in roles with moderate work complexity and risk in the operations functional area
  • Work with more experienced management to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within the operations functional area
  • Improving efficiencies by having a proactive approach in ensuring resource allocations aligns with the budget and department goals
  • Develop and implement business unit strategies
  • Provide expertise for technical, operational, and processing functions related to business unit
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Operation management functional team to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility across business lines or functional areas
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the function or affected by its outcomes
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing, and developing team members, identifying, and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks
  • Ensure proper engagement and communication is in place for all team members across all shifts/days
  • Ensure all control processes are followed across the team.
  • Actively engage with peers to share best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience managing managers in a fast paced, production environment
  • Experience leading others in a 24x7 processing environment
  • Experience within Banking Operations, specifically with Lockbox, payments, transaction processing, or logistics/supply chain leadership
  • Experience driving and leading organizational change in a dynamic environment
  • Experience handling customer service escalations
  • Experience executing transformational strategic plans
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including senior management
  • Experience collaborating with technology partners.
  • Experience working with internal and/or external auditors
  • Experience recruiting, inspiring, developing, coaching, and motivating team members through balanced leadership with a focus on team member engagement, retention, and performance management
  • Ability to lead staff in prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, achieving goals, and working under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to motivate staff through performance feedback
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable during times of ambiguity and change
  • Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements
  • Experience using process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience designing, managing, and prioritizing tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
