The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for providing special consultative services to adolescents to adults often diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or similar conditions. The BCBA will work within the community to support and train caregivers to implement evidence based strategies in order to reduce interfering behaviors, increase functional communication, etc.
Education:
Master’s degree in human services or health-related field (preferably Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis)
Must possess and maintain Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA)
Experience:
At least 5 years’ experience working with individuals needing BCBA intervention.
Experience working with persons with autism and autism-like behaviors preferred.
Experience in caregiver training and working in collaboration with other providers.
Experience working with adults.

Excellent clinical skills and ability to work with people of diverse social backgrounds.
Ability to effectively conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop behavioral support plans.
Ability to teach and provide consultation to other involved parties in a client’s placement and/or life.
Ability to design and implement skill acquisition programs.
Ability to effectively manage time and schedule activities to meet deadlines.
Good listening, verbal, and writing skills.
Appropriate collaboration/coaching skills to effectively communicate clinical/behavioral needs to involved parties.
