Corrective Gen Maintenance at Salem Hospital in Salem, Massachusetts

Job Description:

Under general supervision andaccording to established procedures; performs a variety of routine tosemi-skilled general corrective/preventive maintenance duties in the repair,alteration and modification of Hospital building, equipment, and facilities.



Qualifications

Required:

• Interpersonal skills necessary in order tocommunicate effectively with user departments and outside vendors in acquiringand supplying Hospital personnel with requisition materials/information. Abilityto read and write in order to read and fill out material requisitions and workorders; understand and follow written and verbal instructions in order tocontact vendors to obtain supplies and equipment not maintained in inventory;and perform noncomplex arithmetic calculations in order to maintain inventoryrecords. Basic computer skills which may be obtained thru on the job training.


• Level of knowledge ofequipment repair, installation, and preventative maintenance, generallyacquired through two years related experience

• Must be able to operate,safely, and efficiently a variety of hand and power tools.


• High School diploma orequivalent
