This is a 2nd shift opening at our Plant on 4th Street in Gettysburg. This position is scheduled Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am. The starting hourly rate of pay is $24.35 and is based on experience.
Performs various mechanical duties on machines and equipment needed for production.
Major Functions and Scope:
- Performs maintenance of powered industrial trucks, including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Maintains historical service records on powered industrial trucks.
- Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
- Performs light welding and plumbing repairs.
- Makes minor electrical machinery and equipment repairs.
- Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
- Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
- Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 2 or more years industrial maintenance experience
Competencies:
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
- Ability to test motors and electrical circuits using a voltmeter and amp meter.
- Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
