POSITION SUMMARY:


The Goodwill Opportunity Center Coordinator manages daily operations and coordinates service delivery. This individual is responsible for identifying community needs and ensuring the opportunity center provides a variety of services, including but not limited to: jobseeker services as well as education and training programs. Through collaboration with Goodwill's Human Services teams and community partners, the coordinator leads outreach efforts, fosters partnerships, and drives positive participant outcomes while adhering to organizational policies and best practices.


This position requires a strong leader with workforce development experience. The coordinator creates a culturally competent and collaborative workplace, valuing relationships with participants, staff, and agency partners. The position supports continuous improvement efforts and upholds Goodwill's mission to empower individuals through education and employment.


Duties will also include but are not limited to:



  • Oversee Operations: Manage day-to-day activities, ensuring the smooth delivery of services, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Emergency Preparedness: Ensure protocols and supplies, such as first aid kits and evacuation plans, are in place for emergencies.

  • Plan Activities: Develop and manage the schedule for classes, workshops, and events to optimize resource use and meet participant needs.

  • Execution and Communication: Collaborate with staff and partners to execute scheduled activities and communicate updates.

  • Maintain Relationships: Strengthen ongoing relationships with stakeholders, ensuring mutual support, collaboration, and the development of referral networks.

  • Document and Evaluate: Maintain accurate records and continuously improve scheduling processes based on feedback and performance.

  • Develop and Foster Partnerships: Identify, establish, and nurture partnerships with community organizations, volunteers, and Human Services teams to support participant needs and organizational goals.

  • Ensure Service Connection and Resolve Issues: Collaborate with partners to connect participants to appropriate services and address any service inquiries or challenges, ensuring smooth operations and effective delivery.


External Hiring Range: $52,624-$54,728.96


Schedule: 10:00AM - 6:00PM Monday - Friday 


Travel: local travel will be required



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school diploma or equivalent AND 7 years of experience in organizing services or events within underserved communities

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 3 years of experience in organizing services or events within underserved communities


Required Experience:


Experience in collaborating with community organizations and coordinating services across departments, required.


 


REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:



  • Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH).
