Job Description:

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories PSS is searching for a Chemist in Gaithersburg, MD.


Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
:


• Perform non-GMP routine sample preparation and in-process sample testing by methods such as:

o Chromatography (HPLC, UPLC, GC, SEC)

o Electrophoresis (Bioanalyzer, GX)

o Spectroscopy (A280)

• Document assay data, analyze test data, interpret test results, summarize data, and report results.

• Complete a variety of sample testing within established timelines


The ideal candidate would possess
:


• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a cross functional setting, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

• Good understanding of chromatographic, electrophoresis, and spectroscopic techniques

• Prior laboratory experience.

• Familiar with SOP and GxP requirements.


Basic Minimum Qualifications
:


• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Gaithersburg, Maryland are encouraged to apply.
