Pay Range

$39,500.00-$50,500.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.

Our R&D team is looking for a 2024 summer intern who is passionate about working in labs and enjoys working in the areas of materials characterization, testing, and problem solving. In this internship you will be conducting materials analysis to evaluate fundamental aspects of alloy solidification and perform mechanical testing. If you like working in a team environment, doing research to search for root causes for problems, and enjoying hands-on experiences, this may be the position for you!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in metallurgical and materials science, applied physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering with an interest in chemical, physical and mechanical properties of materials.
  • Upcoming senior or recent undergraduate that is pursuing further education.
  • Ability to start full time in May 2025 and work until August 2025.
  • Prior lab experience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong organizational, computer and communication skill
  • Willingness to learn new tools
  • Able to meet commitments and deadlines
  • Enjoys working in a high paced team environment
  • Committed and passionate for results
  • Must have excellent writing skills
  • GPA of at least 3.0 at an accredited college or university
