The Village Of Walworth, located in southeast Wisconsin is seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead a staff of three full time employees and one part time employee. Director will direct, administer and supervise all activities of the street, park, water and sewer departments.
The ideal candidate must be a strong team leader, be passionate about providing public services and have demonstrated experience leading and managing in a local government setting. Preference will be given to any candidate that is water certified. Must be able to prepare and manage an annual Public Works budget and understand and prepare technical documents.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate a high level of integrity, a strong work ethic and cultivate positive and productive relationships with Village Board staff and community members.
Position qualifications include at least five years progressive municipal public works management, Class B CDL license and technical experience including familiarity with managing municipal utilities (water and sewer delivery systems). Education achievement may be considered in lieu of management experience, especially a bachelor's degree in public or business administration, civil engineering or another related field.
