At Suzano, we believe innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. This union gave rise to a meaningful attitude: innovability, which guides us in thinking outside the box and looking beyond to tackle the challenges of the 21st century. We plant and grow trees. We transform this renewable raw material into innovative and sustainable bioproducts that are part of the everyday life of over 2 billion people. We cultivate life on the sheet of the notebook that teaches children, in the diaper that protects babies, in the biodegradable cup of coffee that does not harm the environment, in absorbent papers and in the convenience of using sustainable packaging.
Suzano is expanding its operations in the U.S., and we are looking for an experienced Health, Safety, and Facilities Manager to join our team at our paper packaging facility in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This role is crucial in building and implementing a strong safety culture, as safety standards are still in early stages of development at this facility.
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs in accordance with regulatory requirements (OSHA) and Suzano's internal policies.

Lead health and safety training sessions to educate employees and foster a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
Collaborate with the leadership team to set and achieve safety performance goals.
Establish and manage safety KPIs to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
Analyze safety data and trends to proactively address risks and implement corrective measures.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring thorough documentation and timely reporting.
Actively identify and address opportunities for improvement in safety practices, working with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Oversee health and safety compliance for facilities management, including coordinating safety procedures with external vendors and contractors.
Work closely with vendors to ensure they meet Suzano's safety standards, providing oversight during on-site operations.
What We Expect from You?
Significant experience in health and safety management, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Proven success in establishing a safety culture in facilities with limited prior safety structures.

What We're Looking For?
Proactivity and initiative in identifying and resolving safety issues.
Commitment to creating a safe working environment for all employees.
