We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector with a background in welding to join our client's manufacturing quality team. This role focuses on conducting thorough inspections, verifying equipment, and ensuring high-quality standards across our products. Candidates with Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or NDT Level II certification are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of products and assemblies, with a focus on welding integrity and quality.
Conduct welding inspections throughout production, especially if CWI or NDT Level II certified.
Verify units/products meet engineering and project specifications, including thorough review of welding details.
Execute tests, complete quality reports, and ensure that all testing meets quality standards.
Coordinate with Project Managers to address customer Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) requirements.
Support production by auditing processes, inspecting against fabrication drawings, and identifying quality improvements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control within manufacturing, preferably with a welding background.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or NDT Level II Visual Testing preferred but not required.
Knowledge of ANSI/AISC 360-16 standards for structural steel quality.
Proficiency in documentation and computer skills (Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, and cloud-based systems).
