Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Information Technology Manager with exceptional communication skills to lead our IT function. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure and will report directly to the Chief Financial & Operating Officer. The ideal candidate is collaborative, hands-on, and not afraid to "jiggle the cables" when necessary. You will be responsible for supporting our team of approximately 70 employees, primarily attorneys, by addressing IT issues in a responsive and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Leadership: Oversee the IT function for the firm, ensuring all systems and applications operate smoothly.
Budget Management: Create and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals.
Vendor Management: Maintain and manage relationships with external IT vendors, including a network service provider, cybersecurity firm, and help desk support.
Technology Strategy: Analyze current technology utilization and make recommendations on automation and technology improvements to enhance firm operations.
Policy Development: Develop and implement IT security policies, as well as Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity policies.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Firm's Partners, CFO/COO, Administrator, Attorneys, IT Assistant and Practice Management application Subject Matter Expert to ensure all technology needs are met.
Operational Support: Ensure network connectivity, website, practice management platform, client portal, email functionality, and proper onboarding of new hires, including equipment provisioning and access to necessary applications.
RFP Contribution: Contribute to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by addressing technology-related questions and requirements.
Application Oversight: Ensure the optimal performance of key applications, including Office 365, website, Client Portal and the Salesforce Legal / Practice Management platforms.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Manager, ideally within a mid sized law firm, professional services or advisory environment.
