This full-time role carries dual responsibilities as a Terminal Handler and Route Collections:
Terminal Handler: Serves as a service technician responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of video gaming terminals (VGTs) and related electronic gaming devices in licensed gaming establishments.
Route Collections Specialist: Manages the collection and secure transfer of monetary containers from VGTs and route terminals (RTs) as part of an assigned route, ensuring compliance with established rules and procedures to protect the security of employees and customers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Terminal Handler Duties
Maintain, troubleshoot, and service video gaming terminals (VGTs) and related gaming equipment to ensure functionality.
Perform basic repairs as needed and comply with Illinois Gaming Board regulations and licensing requirements.
Route Collection Duties
Collect and deliver cash cassettes and canisters from VGTs and RTs at customer locations per assigned route schedules.
Complete required paperwork to document access to terminals and the transfer of monetary containers and company property.
Adhere to safety and security protocols, remaining vigilant to prevent loss or mishandling of cash and to detect security breaches.
General Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Illinois Gaming Board filing and licensing requirements (assistance with the licensing process provided).
Maintain confidentiality in all transactions and operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Recommended Minimum Qualifications
Licensing: Must be licensed (or eligible for licensing) by the Illinois Gaming Board as a Terminal Handler.
Driver's License: Valid license with a good driving record.
Age: 21 years or older.
Skills: Organized, with the ability to meet daily deadlines, multitask effectively, and manage time efficiently.
Detail-Oriented: Ability to complete tasks accurately and responsibly.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Comfortable using portable electronic devices (cell phones, tablets) and various applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-solving abilities, especially in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
Commitment to confidentiality.
Accurate cash handling and counting skills.
Physical dexterity to perform technical tasks and ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
Relatively clean driving record required.
