Essential Job Functions:
Review initial project schedule, monitor/update schedule on a weekly basis, incorporating project changes and/or delays, identify schedule slides and correct independently or with the assistance of the Senior Project Manager.
Oversees project compliance w/specifications, local codes, and techniques.
Communicate regularly and professionally with all members of the project team including: clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other staff team members to ensure they are informed of the relevant project information.
Confirm on site schedule and coordinate subcontractors, supplies, and other vendors to ensure they are supplying all required materials, and their work product meets project and company requirements.
Review the construction budget (estimate) and effectively manage the project in a manner that completes the project on or under budget.
Maintain an organized, clean and orderly field office. Create and/or maintain the following project documentation: daily/weekly reports, safety checklist & meeting minutes, as-built drawings, submittals, test reports, and any other necessary project documentation.
Actively pursues additional work through change orders.
Assists in the evaluation of the contractual scope of work and the impact of client-issued items, field mandates, and/or schedule adjustments.
Able to travel based on assigned projects, as projects may exist outside of the assigned post.
Skills / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in construction/management; or four to six years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have valid Drivers license
Certification in 30-hour OSHA construction course.
Ability to lead a team by being a good and effective communicator
Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together
Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation
Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed
