The Project Engineer will analyze and interpret architectural design documentation (blueprints, specifications, proposals, and customer-supplied designs) to draw/engineer products, projects, or services
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work extensively with outside sales representatives, Estimating, Project Management, Installation, and Fabrication teams
Create sales drawings via customer-supplied specifications or internally supplied dimensions for quoting purposes
Review proposals and customer documentation post order entry to create submission drawings for approval
Create fabrication packages (drawings, cleaning instructions, templates for shop) and coordinate with Shop Manager to provide proper paperwork for shop fabrication and shipment to customer
Consult with Project Manager, customers, vendors, or other individuals to understand material requirements and customer expected delivery dates
Provide technical support for prospects and customers
REQUIREMENTS:
Associates or Bachelors degree in architectural, engineering, or computer drafting and design
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well with others
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
Previous experience in glass and glazing industry (Preferred)
