Landscape Workshop is a Commercial Landscaping company that is looking to build a world-class Procurement and Fixed Assets Management organization for our rapidly growing company. We are looking for a Director of Supply Chain to help us leverage our purchasing power for key spend
categories. We are also looking for an individual to manage our fleet of vehicles and landscape equipment. This role will have one direct report within the organization.
The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for the following:
With the CFO, develop and execute a fleet strategy to optimize our capital base to our operations
With the CFO, identify opportunities to improve management of key spend categories
Develop metrics to track performance of our fleet management systems and our procurement systems
Procurement
Assist CFO with launching Requests For Proposal based on the highest opportunity purchasing categories
Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, pricing, and compliance with industry standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews
Analyze procurement data and metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities
Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management
Fixed Assets Management
Proactively ensure we have a safe and reliable Fleet (which includes Truck, Mowers, and Heavy Equipment)
Own and maintain the Fleet preventive maintenance schedule
Proactively identifying opportunities to increase the useful life of fixed assets
Participate in the "Capex Council" determining when to repair or replace key assets
Support periodic branch inventory audits, ensuring that branch-level equipment lists are up-to-date, and that equipment is operational
During acquisitions, work with on the ground resources to make sure all equipment in tagged an in our system
Process condition statement / inspection data as required from periodic audits
Keep inventory status up to date in our inventory database system
Planning / coordination of intercompany transfers
Lead the disposals / resale process for assets that have reached the end of their useful life
Prepare disposal assets for listing / resale; research market comps (e.g. MSRP, used and trade-in values), & recommend pricing based on make / model / condition
Manage online listings & wholesaler relationships; negotiate the best resale options on behalf of the company; ensure proper closing paperwork at time of sales.
Keeping centrally organized records of vehicle titles, registrations, and asset listing & closing sales documents from multiple branches simultaneously
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding vehicle operations and safety standards
Analyze fleet performance data and prepare reports for senior management
Insurance and Claims Management
Helping ensure related document management practices are kept up at the branch-level •
Oversee the claims process in partnership with our insurance brokerage for Auto and GL claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Analyze claims data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost reduction.
Handle complex or escalated claims, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
Ensure that all claims are documented accurately and processed in a timely manner.
