Planet Technology has partnered with Madison, WI based client to find a desktop support professional for a contract role that has the potential to go full-time.
The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing both deskside and remote technical support for for both as well as hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for all end-user systems including hardware, software, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot and resolve PC related issues, including hardware and software problems, networking problems as well as user login issues.
Maintain and update Active Directory user account management
Provide basic training to users on how to use, software and hardware applications.
Maintain and update the IT knowledge base and documentation.
Assist with the deployment of new hardware/software related projects as required.
Support remote/video applications such as Zoom and WebEx as well as VOIP solutions like Zoom.
Required Skills/Experience:
Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
5+ years of experience in Computer support or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with networking and database management.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Familiarity with OSI models
Experience with Windows 365
Experience with Macs preferred but not required.
