Job Description:

Planet Technology has partnered with Madison, WI based client to find a desktop support professional for a contract role that has the potential to go full-time.

The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing both deskside and remote technical support for for both as well as hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for all end-user systems including hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PC related issues, including hardware and software problems, networking problems as well as user login issues.
  • Maintain and update Active Directory user account management
  • Provide basic training to users on how to use, software and hardware applications.
  • Maintain and update the IT knowledge base and documentation.
  • Assist with the deployment of new hardware/software related projects as required.
  • Support remote/video applications such as Zoom and WebEx as well as VOIP solutions like Zoom.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Computer support or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with networking and database management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Familiarity with OSI models
  • Experience with Windows 365
  • Experience with Macs preferred but not required.
