Location: North California, San Francisco, Concord

Salary: $150,000 to $200,000

Join the High-Performing Project Controls Team as a Contracts & Claims Specialist/Project Manager.

Are you an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager, with a strong background in Contract and Claims, and experience in the heavy civil market? We're looking for a dedicated expert to join our high-performing project controls team, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the successful, profitable execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of analyzing contract and proposal documents, identifying risks, and crafting mitigation strategies. Collaborating closely with operational pursuit teams, business development, legal, insurance, and procurement, you'll help navigate risks and optimize project opportunities. From pre-bid phases to active project support, you'll provide essential expertise, ensuring any contractual challenges are swiftly addressed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review proposal and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, with a focus on joint venture agreements and subcontracts.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure all risks are managed before bids are submitted.
  • Provide ongoing contractual support and facilitate executive decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders in estimating, business development, and operations.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, alongside a team-player attitude.
