POSITION SUMMARY
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting product development by defining robust packaging requirements for the company's products. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Assembly teams to ensure prompt and effective customer support. Responsibilities include conducting packaging tests, training team members, and driving continuous improvements to reach a world-class manufacturing standard in alignment with the Production System.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and support new product development, capital projects, and improvement initiatives, ensuring safe operations and striving for a zero-accident environment
Enhance manufacturing methods through design, tooling, and fixture development, and work closely with vendors to maintain and improve equipment and tooling
Drive productivity, quality, and on-time delivery improvements by implementing advanced technologies, continuous improvement practices, and benchmarking for "World Class" manufacturing
Collaborate effectively with peers and management, fostering a positive workplace culture, open communication, and active participation in team initiatives
Maintain and update project progress through weekly reports, action trackers, and meetings, while developing work instructions, preventive maintenance checklists, and supporting budget planning
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial studies OR 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in metal fabrication
Strong project management tools and examples of use
Experience with sheet metal fabrication welding, powder coating, and/or stamping
Familiarity/knowledge of: Lean methodology, FMEA, CNC programming, Time Study Collection, and SAP
