They're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join the team as a Purchasing Assistant handling essential purchasing and administrative tasks to support our business operations.
This is an on-site position in Anderson.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
Manage procurement of materials, supplies, and services needed for production.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels, placing orders when necessary.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
Finance/Bookkeeping:
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
Operations Support:
Collaborate with production staff to ensure purchasing aligns with project timelines and material requirements.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, filing, and updating databases.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in purchasing, bookkeeping, or related fields (3+ years preferred).
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
High level of integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
