Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking an experienced Clinical Trainer to design and deliver a comprehensive training program for clinical staff across our organization. This role focuses on fostering a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to care. As the Clinical Trainer, you will partner with clinical leaders and support staff in integrating best practices in mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment, enhancing our quality of care and mission impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct training for clinical staff on treatment planning, clinical documentation, case notes, and electronic health records.
Collaborate with the Utilization Management & Review Manager to identify clinical trends and develop training strategies to address areas of improvement.
Conduct needs analysis for training across the agency and implement action plans to address identified gaps.
Regularly assess training effectiveness through feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement.
Provide consultations to support competency in daily practices, focusing on practice improvement, outcomes monitoring, and quality enhancement.
Partner with department leaders to establish essential learning curriculums and support cross-department integration of mental health, substance use, and physical health services.
Coordinate agency clinical instructors to ensure compliance with Washington Administrative Code and institution requirements.
Stay informed on community mental health trends, diagnostic practices, and healthcare reform to ensure training materials remain current.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, social services, behavioral health, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 1 years of job-related experience)
Minimum of 1-2 years of job-related experience i.e., mental illness in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings
LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in training evidence -based practices preferred. Experience in conducting and leading small and large group presentations
Knowledge of Electronic Medical/Health Records. Knowledge of the Credible system preferred.
