ARG has recently partnered with an established automotive accessories wholesaler/distributor that is seeking to bring on a seasons Chief Financial Officer to lead their Accounting/Finance function. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and a background in wholesale/distribution operations. Additionally, this role will double as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) so having a background leading operations is needed.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for major elements of the Organization's forecasting and financial initiatives; Analyze all financial aspects of the firm and its financial strategy in addition to operations over the Wholesale division.
Prepare and review financial projections and budgets, resources, timelines and key priorities
Improve upon processes to add further precision, insight, timeliness and reliability
Generate management reporting that keenly discerns business operations and variances and is systematic, automated, real-time and insightful
Manage and ensure reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism to meet operating needs and forecast financial position of business activities
Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership informed about financial status
Guide the Corporate Accounting team (4 local staff) in addition to Shared Services (operational accounting in the Philippines)) which supports retail, wholesale, and consumer divisions
Maintain banking relationship, including monthly submission of financial statements and borrowing base certificates to support line of credit advances
Manage and track assets, including oversight of additions, disposals, transfers, and reconciliation of month-end activity
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Support month-end and year-end close process, including review of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Review and enhance existing processes and reporting to maximize efficiency and productivity
Strong presentation skills; previous experience delivering presentations to executive management and Board of Directors
Operations - COO for Wholesale division - support Director of Operations in operational efficiencies, logistics, overhead allocation analysis and safety compliance.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; Master's degree preferred
CPA strongly preferred
15+ years of combined experience in public accounting and private industry with 4+ recent years in a retail/wholesale environment in addition to managing real estate assets.
Strong understanding of consolidated financial reporting and flux analysis to budget
Own all banking relationships including experience with real estate loans and capital financing
Strong knowledge of cash flow analysis and oversight of accounts payable
Extensive knowledge on financial modeling and forecasting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the position will be required to communicate daily with other departments and with external parties
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain focused and multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office applications and Great Plains
