Furry Friends Humane is seeking an agile and adaptable front-facing Development and Marketing Manager. This position plays a key role in advancing Furry Friends Humane's mission by orchestrating high-impact events, strengthening donor relationships, and enhancing our communication strategies. Reporting to the CEO, the manager focuses on building effective communication channels, planning and executing events for major supporters, and overseeing logistics-allowing the CEO to focus on fundraising and high touch donor relationships.
The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive and detail-oriented development professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deftly balance multiple priorities to support the CEO in building strong, lasting relationships with donors.

The CEO's extraordinary strength in fundraising has been central to our expansion, enabling Furry Friends to secure substantial support from donors, foundations, and corporate partners and allowing the organization to save more dogs and cats than ever before!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Donor Stewardship (50%)
At the direction of the CEO, develop and implement strategies to steward donors at various levels to ensure long-term engagement and growth.
Regularly update donors on organizational milestones, projects they support, and new initiatives.
Provide day to day development support to the CEO, allowing him to focus on long term strategic leadership and building and affirming high value donor relationships.
Ensure all donors receive timely gift acknowledgments and personalized follow-ups.
Track donor engagement and feedback to refine stewardship strategies and maintain lasting donor relationships.
Give tours and make presentations to donors as directed by the CEO.
Support the CEO in developing corporate partnerships.

Event Management (30%)
Serve as project manager for donor events and related communications, including materials for outreach and event promotions.
Design, manage, and plan up to four annual events for high-value supporters, ensuring they are impactful and memorable.
Oversee event logistics, including on-site setup, production, takedown, and coordination with external vendors.
Collaborate with the Community Outreach team to help manage up to six community-focused events each year, reinforcing our connection with our broader constituency.

Grant Management (10%)
Identify, write, and manage grants in alignment with Furry Friends' funding goals and programs.
Maintain a grants calendar and ensure timely submission of applications and reports.

Administrative (10%)
With the CEO, set development and marketing KPIs and work continuously to achieve them.
Provide status updates and reports to the Administration as needed and to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Three years of demonstrated experience building and nurturing relationships with donors, corporate partners, members of the public, and other stakeholders.
Creative self-starter with the ability to produce quality work on tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver impactful presentations.
High level of proficiency with Google Workspace and Canva
Working knowledge of Bloomerang or other donor management platforms required
Familiarity with GrantHub/Foundant preferred
CFRE certification preferred but not required
Ability to work night and weekends as needed
Passion for animal welfare
