Our client is hiring! We are in search of a Project Manager with experience in Estimating & Managing Municipal & Heavy Highway Construction Projects as both the Prime & Sub Contractor. This is a full time, exempt position with benefits. The Project Manager is responsible for building and maintaining productive client relationships throughout the construction process (bidding through completion). The Project Manager prepares cost estimates and proposals for asphalt paving construction jobs for private customers and public entities. Works closely with contractors, state and local municipalities, inspectors and customers. Actively participates in local government and community affairs. Position may periodically require long hours, night work, local travel and/or weekend work.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors' degree in Construction Management or equivalent combinations technical training and/or experience required.
Five years asphalt paving or construction industry estimating and project management experience preferred.
Must possess appropriate math and computer skills.
Community leadership and involvement a plus.
Requires some local travel.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana) and have an acceptable driving record.
Full-time, in-office position.
IMPORTANT SKILLS:
Actively promote safety in all aspects of the project bidding, planning and execution
Possess strong leadership, problem solving, issue resolution, decision making and organization skills
Are a self-starter and able to manage time effectively
Are familiar with analyzing specifications, proposals, plans, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for asphalt paving projects
Maintains a professional approach when dealing with customers and employees
Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction
Have a passion for sales and building relationships
Have a proven track record of preparing thorough, accurate and timely estimates for both public and private sector projects, including the preparation of bid documents and the development of clear written proposals and correspondence.
SALARY:
The full salary range for this position is $85,000 to $125,000. Candidates entering this job typically start between $85,000 to $100,000, depending on direct professional experience, education, qualifications, and geographic location.
