** WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED SCHEDULER WHO HAS EXPERIENCE IN DISPATCHING AND PRODUCTION PLANNING IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT.
Job Title: Scheduler
Location: Naples, FL
Duration: 6 months (May extend depending on the client needs)
Work schedule: 1st shift Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $23.00 (Actual offer will depend on experience)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for coordinating the timely movement and processing of parts on multiple programs in order to meet customer delivery schedules.
Update the production and inventory control system with information that is timely and accurate.
Stage and coordinate work for the majority or all of the manufacturing areas to meet schedules and effectively utilize resources.
Communicate and coordinate with appropriate support groups to initiate corrective action for work orders on hold.
Split work orders by generating a new traveler, input split and coordinate activity with inspection and other groups.
Troubleshoot and Initiate action required to resolve discrepancies in paperwork or system information to maintain work in process (WIP) data accuracy.
Coordinate with other functional groups to develop and implement daily work schedules, short range capacity plans and build plans.
Monitor and coordinate actions required to resolve short term capacity conflicts such as; staffing reassignments, overtime, alternate machine utilization, and rerouting to other machines, facilities or vendors.
Coordinate with manufacturing and production planning to adjust workloads to reduce or avoid bottlenecks at gateway centers.
Participate in team meetings to develop and implement plans to meet common goals such as; schedules, quality, cost, etc.
Update information using personal computer for special scheduling needs or projects.
Coordinate release of material/components to fill shortages for orders in work in process.
Assist in the development and implementation of procedures designed to enhance departmental productivity.
Work in conjunction with the planners for new parts procurement and/or processed parts requirements on a daily basis for parts shortages. Also, satisfy requirements for aircraft on ground (A.O.G.) maintenance agreements and expedited jobs.
Prepare customer status reports and respond to shipping information requests from the contracts function.
Move materials utilizing forklift, dolly, hand truck or other types of carts.
Monitor and coordinate the packaging of parts to prevent damage.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of dispatching, shop scheduling or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system environment or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
Proficient in the application of MRP and APICS.
Knowledge of AMAPS preferred.
Personal computer skills required.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing routings, travelers and blueprints.
Ability to provide positive leadership/training in a team environment.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
