Job Description:

1st Shift

We're currently seeking a Quality Supervisor for a leading manufacturer of precision components/parts/machinery in Schaumburg, IL. As a Quality Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring team members adhere to processes, conducting training, and standardizing procedures.

Base Salary - $68,000 to $75,000

Job Requirements:
  • HS Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory/management position
  • Ideal experience in precision machining, precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or
  • Experience in Quality-related roles.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Experience conducting and managing ISO audits - ISO 9001
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • CMM (coordinate measuring machines) operation experience and proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to lead CAPA processes and respond promptly to quality challenges.
  • Experience making recommendations on new product launches is a PLUS
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Minitab or Power BI is a PLUS
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and manufacturing processes is a PLUS.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership by scheduling, prioritizing, mentoring, and guiding the quality team.
  • Lead daily cross-departmental huddles to ensure alignment between production, engineering, purchasing, and quality.
  • Quickly respond to quality issues from inspections or production, providing feedback and corrective actions.
  • Analyze resource needs and make staffing or outsourcing recommendations as needed (e.g., for gauge control).
  • Coordinate ISO audits, including internal and external audits, to ensure continued compliance.
  • Investigate non-conformities and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) processes.
  • Develop and maintain process standards to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Train team members to follow procedures correctly, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to address quality concerns and foster continuous improvement.
