We have partnered with an AM 100 global law firm looking to hire a remote Labor & Employment Attorney. They represent management in complex and high-stakes cases involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and other workplace issues. You will be able to work with Fortune 500 clients and enjoy a reduced billable hours requirement compared to their competitors.
This role has the flexibility of being fully remote, but individuals must reside and be barred in the State of California.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in employment litigation matters, focusing on defense against claims such as sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of employment contract, and wrongful discipline.
Handle EPLI cases, including providing coverage and dealing with insurance-related aspects.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Advise clients on employment law compliance and risk management.
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration.
Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience with employment litigation on the defense side
