The Kid's Director plays a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth and well-being of Life Song Church's youngest members. The Kid's Director's mission is to create a vibrant and engaging environment for children from infancy to 5th grade. Contributing to building a foundation of faith, love and joy that will positively impact the lives of our youngest members and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, plan, and implement a comprehensive children's ministry program for children from infancy to 5th grade, that aligns with the church's mission and values.
Create and oversee age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote spiritual growth, character development and a love for God.
Coordinate and lead children's programs on Sunday and any other special church events.
Build relationships with children and parents.
Recruit, train and lead a team of dedicated volunteers to effectively serve in various areas of the children's ministry.
Build a positive and collaborative team culture with ongoing support and encouragement.
Establish open communication channels with parents, keeping them informed of upcoming events and curriculum (social media, newsletter, emails, etc.).
Implement and maintain strict safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of all children.
Manage the number of kids in attendance weekly.
Manage the annual kid's ministry budget in partnership with the Lead Pastor.
Share prayer concerns with the Lead Pastor, when appropriate.
Perform other duties that may be required or assigned.
Knowledge and Experience Required

A passion for nurturing the faith of children.
Previous experience in children's ministry leadership or related field.
Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conflict management skills and computer skills.
Knowledge of age-appropriate curriculum development and educational practices.
CPR Certified preferred, or willingness to become certified
