Job description
Plan and perform engineering work in developing and/or improving products, processes, equipment, and quality. Assignments will involve a variety of production challenges and require the use of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Develops clear and specific objectives for given assignments. Effectively participates in a team setting to achieve results. Develops a product knowledge expertise for assigned area of responsibility
Job Responsibilities
Implements and optimizes manufacturing techniques, processes, and tooling to maximize efficiency and reduce cost
Assist in the resolution of issues in manufacturing
Participates in the adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency
Works with cross-functional teams to accomplish production targets
Meets production requirements by designing equipment and/or tooling modifications as needed • Initiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve targets
Works with project personnel to ensure the smooth implementation of process development work into plant operations.
Communicates progress through management updates and team meetings.
Required Skills And Qualification
Forging experience is required and a must
3+ years of manufacturing/design hands-on experience ( no internship)
Experience with SolidWorks or any 3D software is required
Possess good oral and written communication skills
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems and PLC systems
