Role Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this Product Manager role will be responsible for overall end-to-end product portfolio strategy that aligns with and helps to shape Samsung Lennox HVAC's long-term vision and strategies. This role provides product road map development and execution between Samsung Lennox HVAC and Samsung HQ, internally within the Product Management team, Management team, externally with sales and customers. This position shall help manage the overall product lifecycle by establishing a connected responsibility with other department stakeholders including sales, marketing, operations, the IT department, technical services and training to execute the product roadmap.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Product roadmap development and execution with gathered market needs including market and regulatory trends to ensure the next generation of products are at the forefront of Samsung Lennox HVAC's long-term vision and strategies
Cross functional execution that involves bidirectional collaboration with sales, operations, product marketing, technical service, training, and the IT department which includes internal systems, rebate tracking platform data management, rebate program registration, collaboration and guidance with Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager and local sales teams in these respective markets
Working with 3rd party suppliers to enhance the long-term product portfolio
Customer facing engagement that includes special product representations, organizations, and utility relations that directly impact Samsung Lennox HVAC product sales and development
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relatable business field required, advanced degree in an engineering field preferred
5+ years of previous HVAC VRF (variable refrigerant flow) experience OR multi-split / mini split product management experience required (candidates without this specific experience will not be considered)
Exceptional product management and operational business experience
Extensive experience with various go-to-market sales channels including stocking distribution, commercial manufacturers reps, strategic regional and national accounts
Excellent oral and written communication, persuasion, diplomatic, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Influencer capability and polished presentation skills
Excellent creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop innovative product strategies
Analytical decision-making experience with the ability to prioritize and communicate the objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Visual acuity, color distinction, and numeric and character detail distinction for the analysis and preparation of statistical reports and information
The ability to work periodically some evening hours to meet with Korean leadership
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Korean bilingual fluency (oral and written) preferred but not required
