The Vice President/General Manager is responsible for leading and executing the Operations strategy for our Ferrara/KME (Holden, LA) business unit. Responsibilities include organizing and overseeing the daily operations and building an effective leadership team. This position has the overall responsibility to ensure that a high level of product quality is achieved and to ensure on-time delivery of our products. This position reports to the President of The REV Fire Division and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Chief Operating Officer of the Fire Division.
Job Duties:
Develops and implements production plans, budgets and strategies to achieve operational targets including safety, EBITDA, inventory, throughput and quality.
Resolves problems with an emphasis on accountability, delegation of responsibility and the willingness to make decisions.
Builds effective teams and creates strong morale among all employees.
Sets the tone for the culture of the business unit, recognizes wins and successes, and fosters open dialogue.
Provides leadership in employee relations issues, motivates staff, produces coordinated and consistent efforts to achieve operational goals.
Utilizes safety management practices to promote a strong safety culture needed to facilitate safe operations.
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress.
Regularly evaluates the efficiency of the operation according to organizational objectives and applies improvements.
Sets and executes strategy for processes, efficiency, and quality.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering (MBA or MS in Business Management or equivalent degree strongly preferred)
Minimum 10 years of work experience; 5 years in an operational leadership role
Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Be able to build an effective team
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Proficiency in continuous improvement; lean manufacturing preferred
