The Director of Procurement will oversee the strategic sourcing and procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable regulations. This role is responsible for developing and leading a company-wide procurement function, including process development, vendor negotiations, and relationship management. The ideal candidate will bring professional judgment, leadership, and strategic insight to drive cost efficiency and operational excellence, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Leadership
Design, implement, and manage company-wide procurement strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Establish and execute processes for strategic sourcing and vendor selection to ensure optimal cost savings and value creation.
Regularly evaluate existing vendor contracts to optimize spending and foster a culture focused on long-term savings.
Mergers & Acquisitions Support
Conduct cost structure assessments for acquisition targets.
Oversee the integration of newly acquired clinics into the centralized procurement system, including vendor transitions, pricing evaluations, and consolidation strategies.
Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to track savings and identify further optimization opportunities.
Vendor Management
Create and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), review bids, negotiate contract terms, and implement vendor agreements.
Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, focusing on contract renewals, negotiation strategies, and invoicing improvements.
Monitor supplier performance post-contract and address any non-compliance issues.
Reporting and Metrics
Develop and present business cases for procurement initiatives to medical, clinical, and operational leadership as well as senior management.
Create and monitor post-contract benefit benchmarks, ensuring alignment with approved business cases.
Manage and report on program KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
Operational Excellence
Oversee the centralized procurement program to ensure value addition and operational efficiency.
Lead corporate sourcing initiatives, acting as the liaison between Elevate ENT Partners and client procurement, legal, and risk management teams.
Issue and manage corporate procurement policies and procedures.
Other Responsibilities
Manage the annual procurement budget and supplier base.
Evaluate and advise the Corporate Controller on procurement impacts on financial performance.
Participate in additional corporate initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Professional certifications such as CPPB, CPSM, or CMRP are highly desirable.
Proven experience negotiating healthcare equipment and supply contracts is strongly preferred.
Exceptional judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
