Manufacturing Supervisor Summary: Responsible for meeting production demand for their area(s) by addressing inconsistencies, balancing manpower and reporting equipment issues to minimize down time. Provides hands-on support, leadership and direction to their direct reports. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, CBA, and applicable State and Federal regulations.

Promotes culture committed to consistent quality through training and monitoring adherence to required work methods and processes and takes corrective action when needed.
Works closely with fellow Supervisors to manage product and execute the production schedule given product mix, labor allocation, and downstream customer needs. Meets production schedule in accordance with established standards and scheduling commitments from planning meetings and directives.
Reviews safety, quality and productivity performance and develops proactive plans and/or problem solves to continuously improve performance. Espouses the vision of, relentlessly improving safety for our people, quality for our customers, and productivity for our stakeholders.
Attends daily production meetings and helps set and coordinate production schedule demands with employees. Reports labor capability and manufacturing concerns to Manager.
Ensures that production personnel are effectively trained for the work they are assigned.
Engages employees to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Self-motivated with the ability to make data-driven decisions in order to take ownership of departmental performance and drive daily operations.
Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
First line of responsibility for production employees and first line of contact for personnel issues.
Performs variety of administrative duties including working at computer, answering phone or radio.
Walks and observes production area for the majority of the work shift.
Drives real-time problem solving and engages support resources to attain departmental metrics and manage operations.
Available and on site 30 minutes prior to and after shift to ensure a timely shift transition.
