Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will:
Provide Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Trimble hardware and software, assisting customers through phone, email, and onsite support as needed.
Set Up and Calibrate Equipment: Prepare and configure new and rental field equipment, including GNSS systems, robotic total stations, and other Trimble devices, ensuring optimal functionality for specific customer requirements.
Manage Rental Equipment Inventory: Track and oversee rental equipment using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring accurate check-in/check-out processes, billing, and timely fulfillment of rental orders.
Deliver Customer Training: Conduct onsite and remote training for clients on Trimble equipment and software, ensuring they understand operational procedures and can maximize the equipment's capabilities.
Provide Field-Based Support: Travel to customer sites as needed to perform installations, troubleshooting, and support tasks in diverse environmental conditions.
Document Support Activities: Record all support actions, technical issues, and resolutions in Business Central or a similar system to maintain detailed tracking and reporting.
Maintain Inventory and Billing Accuracy: Ensure accurate inventory records, manage rental schedules, and verify proper billing for rented equipment, supporting smooth operational flow.
Key Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will bring technical and field-specific expertise, including:
Technical Expertise in Geospatial and Surveying Equipment: At least 5 years of experience with Trimble products (e.g., GNSS receivers, Trimble Access, Survey Pro, and FieldLink), especially in support of surveying, GIS, or construction operations.
Hands-On Field Equipment Management: Experience in setup, calibration, and maintenance of field equipment such as robotic total stations and GNSS systems, with responsibility for equipment logistics and deployments.
ERP and Inventory System Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems for managing inventory, billing, and tracking rental equipment.
Industry Knowledge in Surveying and Construction: Foundational understanding of surveying field procedures, MGIS data collection, and construction layout practices.
Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Windows OS and tools like Excel, Word, and Outlook, alongside basic troubleshooting of standard office hardware.
Physical Readiness and Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel locally to client sites, work in various environmental conditions, and lift equipment up to 50 lbs as needed.
