The ideal candidate will be an experienced Cost Estimator / Engineer with a proven track record of preparing cost estimates, risk assessments, and controls through the planning and design phases. This position is full-time and requires authorization to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates in-house using software and estimating programs for Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects - conceptual and schematic design, development and construction documents
Meet with clients and designers to discuss cost repercussions
Provide technical reviews of project constructability design and analysis
Execute change order analyses and reviews
Conduct electronic take-offs on various architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems
Travel 10% - typically once a quarter for short durations (2-5 days)
Basic Qualifications
5 years of experience preparing cost estimates and conducting takeoffs independently
Knowledge of OST, PlanSwift, RSMeans, or other relevant software
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply oneself when challenged
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Certification or equivalent
Electrical engineering background
