A minimum of 3 years of experience working with the Confluent Event Streaming Platform, including Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud.
Hands-on experience with KSQL DB, Schema Registry, and Kafka Connectors.
Lead the design and implementation of Kafka-based streaming and messaging solutions across on-premises and Confluent Cloud platforms, providing technical direction.
Proficiency with Kafka Brokers, including a solid understanding of their underlying functionality.
Deep experience with Schema Registry, with knowledge of its core implementation.
Develop guidelines, procedures, and best practices for Kafka administration and for development teams; establish standards and conventions for Kafka usage.
Strong understanding of Kafka client functionality (Producers and Consumers) and provide guidance for Kafka platform upgrades/maintenance to the latest versions.
Support enhancements to Confluent Cloud clusters.
Collaborate with development teams, product managers, operations teams, and architecture groups to integrate Kafka into applications and data pipelines.
Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles and the ability to learn and adapt to new developments within the Kafka ecosystem.
Flexibility for weekend work to support production changes and major incident escalations.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience with the Confluent Event Streaming Platform, including Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud, with hands-on expertise in KSQL DB, Schema Registry, and Kafka Connectors.
Minimum of 6 years of professional work experience.
