As a Facility Engineer at Precision Edge Surgical Products, you will manage the procurement, maintenance, and optimization of production equipment and facilities. LOCATION: Angola, IN
SHIFT/SCHEDULE: 1st/Full-time
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, identify, and negotiate the purchase of new Production Equipment and facility.
Modification and Maintenance contracts.
Manages projects related to equipment purchases and facility modifications.
Resolves scheduling conflicts related to maintenance with other departments.
Generates preventive maintenance calendars/procedures and schedules maintenance activities.
Monitors facility utility usage and takes action to reduce usage and cost.
Storage and control of equipment records and associated documents.
Supports the plant Safety program.
Coach employees on job performance and take the necessary action to improve substandard performance.
Manages pest control program.
Primary administrator for the Maintenance Connection Software.
Provides general supervision of the Equipment and Facility maintenance staff.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field), Business or related discipline is preferred.
Experience in facility and equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferred.
Certification/Licensing in Construction Trades (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing), preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with multiple departments and external vendors.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Project Management experience, including managing equipment installations and facility upgrades.
Proven track record of cost optimization and utility management to reduce operational expenses.
Proficient in Microsoft Office for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and equipment lifecycle management.
Strong negotiation skills for managing equipment specifications and costs.
Ability to coach and develop personnel, including overseeing maintenance teams.
Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment, including facility and employee safety programs.
Ability to accurately manage documentation and records related to equipment maintenance, safety, and project management.
Experience with Maintenance Connection Software (or similar CMMS platforms) to track maintenance activities and schedules.
