The role of the Assistant Project Manager entails supporting the management of various aspects of a construction project. This includes invoicing, vendor billing, schedule and budget management, and maintaining effective communication with clients. The ideal candidate should demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational skills, and collaborate with both clients and coworkers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in preparing all contract documentation including subcontract agreements, change orders & material purchase orders for project manager review
Input RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation in management software
Maintain and update logs for RFIs, submittal, change order, and other project documentation logs in management software
Compile and generate monthly invoices for review with project manager
Ensure compliance with customer billing requirements within the contract and complete as necessary
Manage project file integrity
Manage site-specific badging/access requirements for employees as needed
Prepare for, participate in, and document weekly project meetings
Provide support to project managers as required
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field preferred
Prior experience dealing directly with Federal Government or large institutions on construction contracts strongly preferred
Ability to assist with multiple projects and support multiple project managers
Proficiency in working in a fast-paced office environment
Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and project management software
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, with exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English
Superior written, oral and digital communication skills
Experience with email, internet, Microsoft Office products (including Excel and Word) and other management softwar
