About the Role - We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our growing Talent Management organization. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills and drive organizational success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuous learning, a strategic approach to talent management, and the ability to create impactful training initiatives that align with our business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure the effective delivery of learning experiences that empower our employees to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to address leadership development, technical knowledge, and skill-building needs, while selecting the most effective delivery channels. Conduct thorough research to identify optimal training methods and tools. Create comprehensive training plans that incorporate a mix of in-person, online, and blended learning approaches to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage diverse Talent Development projects with varying levels of complexity, ensuring successful completion with minimal supervision. This includes setting clear project goals, timelines, and deliverables, as well as coordinating with stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Program Design: Utilize design principles to develop single, blended, and action learning programs that equip employees with essential tools for job growth and success. Create detailed program outlines and curricula that align with organizational goals, incorporating real-world scenarios and practical exercises to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Global Program Management and Logistics: Lead the design, development, and implementation of global leadership development programs. Manage the coordination of training program delivery, including scheduling, managing rosters, and recording attendance.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Partner with leaders to identify training and development needs. Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to determine education, learning, and development priorities based on business impact. Use various data collection methods, such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups, to gather insights and analyze data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Content Development and Facilitation: Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to design and deliver instructor-led, e-learning, micro-learning, and performance support programs. Facilitate high-quality instructor-led programs for employees, managers, and executives.
  • Training Materials: Develop training materials, multimedia content, and interventions to help learners apply new skills and improve job performance. Create engaging and interactive content, such as videos, simulations, and quizzes, to enhance the learning experience. Ensure all materials are accessible and easy to understand.
  • Effectiveness Measurement and Continuous Improvement: Design and implement strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions. Continuously improve learning programs to ensure they align with business and HR strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: 5-10 years of proven experience in high technology, bachelor's degree in human resources or other applicable business background. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Organizational and Critical Thinking Skills: Highly organized with a knack for identifying and resolving issues efficiently. Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with LMS and Content Creation Software: Expertise in using LMS platforms and content creation tools to develop engaging and effective training materials.
  • Instructional Design Best Practices: Extensive knowledge of best practices in creating and designing instructional materials tailored for adult learners and corporate training environments. Ability to develop content that is both accessible and inclusive.
  • Relationship-Building and Influence: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Skilled in influencing and gaining buy-in from stakeholders to support training initiatives.
  • Prioritization and Autonomy: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently. Results-oriented with a focus on achieving high-quality outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively across various mediums.
  • Inclusive Design: In-depth understanding of best practices in designing training materials that are accessible and inclusive, ensuring all learners can benefit from the programs.
  • Technological Systems and Tools: Proficient in using various technological systems, tools, and statistical research methods to maximize efficiency and performance. Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform training strategies and measure effectiveness.
